Managing Director

Eve Schoukroun graduated with a BA in International Relations and Communication from the Sorbonne University (Paris, France) and a Masters in Film and TV Production from Emerson College (Boston, MA).

She began her career with Los Angeles based Talent Agency, Endeavor and moved back to Europe to further her career in international sales at Renaissance Films (Kenneth Branagh’s former production company).

She joined Capitol Films in 2000 to ultimately become Head of International Sales. Whilst there, she worked on films directed by renowned international directors such as Woody Allen, Robert Altman, and David Cronenberg, Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope slate of projects in 2001 which featured Box office sensation Jeepers Creepers.

Eve then became Head of International Sales for business US based distributor ThinkFilm/Capitol where she handled Sidney Lumet's BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD in 2007, HALF NELSON which got an Oscar nomination for Ryan Gosling for Best Actor, and Oscar-nominated WAR DANCE. She left Capitol in 2007 to start WestEnd Films with partners Sharon Harel and Maya Amsellem in 2008.

MAYA AMSELLEM

Managing Director

Maya Amsellem graduated from the Law University of Nice in 1995 and was called to the Israeli bar in 1996, later qualifying as a solicitor in England.

Maya practiced five years as a corporate lawyer in a well-established law firm in Israel.

In 2000 Maya moved to London, joining Capitol Films as a head of Legal and Business affairs working on the financing of such films as Robert Altman’s The Company, David Cronenberg’s Spider, Robert Town’s Ask the Dust.

She left Capitol in 2007 to start WestEnd Films with partners Sharon Harel and Eve Schoukroun in 2008.

SHARON HAREL-COHEN

Chairman

Sharon Harel has been involved in producing and financing more than 50 films, personally and through Capitol Films, the company she co-founded in 1989 and sold in 2006.

She is executive producer of many films including; Robert Altman’s Gosford Park and The Company, David Cronenberg’s Spider, Roman Polanski’s Death & The Maiden, Sylvia starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Dancing at Lughnasa, starring Meryl Streep, Lucky number Slevin, starring Bruce Willis and Josh Hartnett, Bruce Beresford's A Good Man in Africa, Merchant Ivory’s A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries, Stephen Frears’ Tamara Drewe, Oscar-Nominated Albert Nobbs, Ralph Fiennes' The Invisible Woman and Neil Jordan's Byzantium.

In 2008, Sharon launched WestEnd Films in partnership with Eve Schoukroun and Maya Amsellem.

Sharon started her career as a producer with the award-winning Israeli classic Halahaka, which she co-wrote. After producing other Israeli feature films, including Dizengoff 99, she produced two films for Tri- Star pictures: Every Time You Say Good Bye starring Tom Hanks, and Iron Eagle II, starring Louis Gossett Jr.

Sharon was awarded the Olswang Business Award by the Carlton Women in Film & Television in 2002. She is a graduate in Chinese Studies and Western Philosophy from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is married to Sir Ronald Cohen and they have a daughter and a son.

SOFIA NEVES

Born in Lisbon, Sofia graduated in 2001 from Universidade Nova de Lisboa with a major in Film. She did a Masters in European Audiovisual Management at the Media Business School (2004) and was a full participant in the Inside Pictures programme (2012).

After a couple of years working in Portugal in production and distribution, Sofia moved to London in 2005 to work for Capitol Films where she became Sales Director and worked on Nick Cassavette’s Alpha Dog, Paul McGuigan’s Lucky Number Slevin, Robert Altman’s Prairie Home Companion and Sidney Lumet’s Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead, to name a few.

In 2008 she went to work at Hanway Films as Director of Sales and Distribution working on David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method, Sam Taylor-Wood’s Nowhere Boy, Nigel Cole’s Made in Dagenham, Lone Scherfig’s An Education, Steve McQueen’s Shame, among many others.

Sofia then moved into film financing in 2011 where she worked for the Portuguese Film Fund FICA as Business Development Director and then for the BFI’s Film Fund in Production Finance.

In 2016, she joined WestEnd Films as Head of Sales.

Anil Ravdjee

After graduating from EDHEC Business School in France, Anil worked in Paris within award-winning production companies, at SBS Productions on feature films (Brian De Palma's Passion & David Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars among them) and at Iconoclast on music videos (Pharrell Williams' 24 hours of Happy).

He then moved to London in 2016 and joined WestEnd Films, working across the Marketing & Festivals and then Legal departments before moving to Sales. Anil covers Asia (excl. Japan), Eastern Europe, Greece, Turkey, East and South Africa.

SOPHIE GREEN

Sophie started her film career with producer Michael Kuhn, following a start in television with companies Tiger Aspect and Company Pictures.

In 2009 she joined the Film/TV department of literary agency David Higham Associates to work alongside agent Nicky Lund. She then moved to Studiocanal joining the legal and business affairs team with a particular focus on acquisitions.

In 2015 she moved to Western Australia joining Jamie Hilton’s production company See Pictures as Acquisitions and Business Development Manager. Throughout her career Sophie has worked across acquisition and business affairs for titles such as Todd Haynes Carol, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, Studio Ghibli’s The Wind Rises, Room, Ben Wheatley’s Free Fire and Terrence Malik’s Knights of Cups.

Sophie joined WestEnd Films as the Head of Acquisitions & Development in January 2017.

LUCIE BRAVERMAN

Lucie graduated from EMLYON Business School in France where she studied marketing and business, and developed her first experience in the film industry by organising the 6th edition of the C.L.A.C student short film festival in 2012.

During her studies, Lucie spent time both studying and working in Argentina, China and Mexico.

Before joining WestEnd Films in 2014, she worked at Studiocanal Paris' international marketing department and at MainStreet Productions.

ALEX PYE

After graduating with a BA Hons degree in English from the University of Hull, Alex began her career in media B2B PR at agency MWW PR in London. In 2016, Alex took a career break to travel around Latin America for six months before returning to London to begin a career in film marketing.

Lucie graduated with a BA in Films & Literature and a Master’s Degree in Media Business & Law from La Sorbonne in Paris. Her previous professional experiences include trainings at TF1 International's Acquisitions department and in sales at Memento Films International. In 2012, she coordinated the co-production market at Les Arcs Film Festival.

DAVID CRAVEN

Originally trained as a classical pianist, David started film servicing and technical delivery over 30 years ago, heading up departments for several high profile companies including CiBy and United Artists.
