Synopsis

Based on true events, The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd follows Karen (Seyfried), an English teacher trapped in an abusive marriage who takes a job at a maximum-security prison in Oklahoma where she begins to fall for Wilson Shedd (McNairy), a charismatic inmate and student in her class. The consequences call into question not only the nature of punishment and retribution, but the very limits of our humanity.
